Game Building
This term the Year 5/6/7's as part of their Digital Technology rotation have been learning to reverse engineer popular games.
The concept of reverse engineering would be familiar to many. It involves looking at the mehanics of a machine or game, and then trying to determine how it was made and what it's function is.
Our children have completed this with popular games such as Flappy Bird and Geometry Dash and have made their own versions!
These skills of coding are transferrable to many industries as the world continues to change.
R.E News - Retreat
Hello!
Last week we held our annual Staff Retreat down at Penola and Naracoorte. It was an amazing experience to say the least and one hard to put down in words. Sometimes God moves in ways that are unexpected, uplifting and I’d say almost with an ‘intense spirit’. Speaking to the staff throughout the days there and after, back at school, they have all felt they gained something more from it. They have something to bring with them into their teaching and also into their day to day lives, and that is exactly what a retreat is all about. It’s a time to pause, reflect, consider, and look forwards with a deeper resolve.
