Principal's Report
Dear Families,
We come to the end of a term that started with a lockdown but since then has been quiet smooth sailing for both our school and our state. We know there are more challenges to come both nationally and at a state level, but for this moment in time it's nice to the end the term with a sense of normality.
As I finish this report I am sitting watching the rehearsal for the Catholic Schools Music Festival at the Entertainment Centre. It's going to be a stunning performance and almost surreal to watch our students from the SYP join with others from all around the state to perform at South Australia's largest entertainment venue. Congrats to Mrs G.O and the students for all their work to get to his point.
We will try to do some sneaky posts on Facebook this evening so stay tuned!
Gather and Grow Team
It's been a massive few weeks for our Gather and Grow Team with the running of the Trivia Night and a Trading Table just in the past fortnight alone. As a staff we'd like to thank this wonderful group of parents who go above and beyond. The Trivia night especially almost had a nostalgic feel to it as we gathered together for some fun and old fashioned trivia. It was such a fun night.
School Production
Yesterday we completed our first full run through of our musical Aladdin Trouble. Over the past fortnight you may have received a letter with some details around costuming etc. This also would have confirmed the dates for our musical being (insert date here) at 12pm and 7pm. We will also be having a full day rehearsal at the Light Church performing space on (insert date here). More details will follow in early Term 2. It's quick turnaround to our Week 3 production, but if yesterday was anything to go by it should be one for the ages.
School Structure Announcement
Yesterday afternoon a letter was sent to our community from Catholic Education detailing the outcome of the Regional Schools Pathway Project. A follow up reflection from me has been sent this afternoon.

Pillowcase Program
Year 3/4 class enjoyed the Pillowcase Project with Karyn, Linda and Jenny from the Australian Red Cross. The Pillowcase Project is a preparedness education program for middle primary that teaches students about personal and family preparedness and safety skills, local hazards, and basic coping skills - while having fun decorating their very own pillowcases to take home!

Library News
We have had such a busy term in the Library this term, celebrating Book Week and running Book clubs and Book Fairs. Behind the scenes there has also been covering books, dusting shelves, putting books away and our endless list of things to do. We have been so lucky to have Julie Tonkin visiting our library each week and helping to keep the library running smoothly.
